descriptionThe results of the competition for the visual and spatial concept of the permanent exhibition of a branch of the Polish Army Museum in Warsaw - the Museum of the Battle of Warsaw 1920- were announced on March 31.
According to the regulations, the scenario of the permanent exhibition at the Museum of the Battle of Warsaw 1920 should be characterized by an attempt to reconcile the traditional exhibition system with contemporary trends of transferring the narrative to the digital world so that visitors can discover the content on their own.
The purpose of the exhibition is, among other things, to tell the chronological story of the course of the Battle of Warsaw 1920, to arouse interest in its subject matter both from a military, political and regional perspective, to educate and promote state-building attitudes, cooperation across divisions, personal sacrifice, the history of Ossow and the tourist values of Mazovia, Podlasie, Pomerania and Lublin.
The competition for the permanent exhibition included the arrangement of the space of the 1st and 2nd floors and the staircase.
Of the four submitted competition works, the jury, consisting of:
- Szczepan Wroński - chairman of the Competition Jury, SARP Warsaw Branch
- Iwona Borkowska - SARP Warsaw Branch
- Marek Chowaniec, PhD - deputy dean of the Department of Stage Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw
- Prof. Jan Żaryn - member of the Program and Scientific Team for the exposition of the Ossów branch of the Polish Army Museum by the Minister of National Defense
- Prof. Janusz Odziemkowski - member of the Program and Scientific Team for the exposition of the Ossów branch of the Polish Army Museum to the Minister of National Defense
- Prof. Wiesław Wysocki - member of the Program and Scientific Team for the exposition of the branch of the Polish Army Museum in Ossów at the Minister of National Defense

- Michal Pacut
- Jaroslaw Stryjek
awarded 1st and 2nd prize and two honorable mentions. First place went to the team consisting of: NM architekci Tomasz Marciniewicz, Zuzanna Szpocińska, Jerzy Grochulski, Konrad Matulaniec, Kinga Garus, Damian Cieciora and Krystyna Piotrowska, and second prize went to the ART FM studio, composed of Łukasz Markiewicz, Dr. Piotr Popławski, Tomasz Natora, Karol Ornatowski, Tomasz Marć, Jan Witkowski, Magdalena Piwek and Jan Bielawski. Honorable mentions were won by the JAZ+Architekci Zmijewski Jaworski studio, composed of: Julian Żmijewski, Andrzej Jaworski, Blanka Jarębska, Aleksandra Gryc, Karolina Reguła, Agata Pinkosz, Ada Zoń, Małgorzata Chustecka, Katarzyna Szafarska, Michał Zarychta, and the team ŁUKASZ MUŻACZ ARCHITEKT composed of: Anna Eliza Gwiazda and Łukasz Mużacz.
